Anchorage is the largest city in the state of Alaska. It is surrounded by mountains on its 3 sides and Cook Inlet on the other side. Anchorage enjoys the beautiful and snow-covered mountains on the winter and the lively color of green leaves on spring. Due to its geographical location, tourists prefer to travel by air. Point of entry to this beautiful place is the Ted Stevens Anchorage International Airport.

People Mover, the bus system of Anchorage, serves as the main transportation around the place. Central hub of People Mover is in downtown Anchorage while satellite hubs are located at Dimond Center and Muldoon Mall. Other services such as point-to-point van service and carpooling are also provided by People Mover. From the city, other nearby places – Seard, Talkeetna, Denali National Oark and Fairbanks are serviced by Alaska Raildroad during summer. The Ship Creek Area is serviced by the Ship Creek Shuttle.

Visitors also expect to witness the Sitka Summer Music Festival held every September at Alaska Pacific University. Visitors can also schedule their tours to Anchorage on the month of February. It is during this time that the Rendezvous Festival is being held. The highlight of this event is the International Ice Carving.
